Hi,
i installed apache 2.0.55 on Windows 2000 Server. As i tried to start apache, i got this error message:


Error

! The requested operation has failed.


Does someone have an idea?

Try to execute apache in a dos box and see what error you get.

i got this message:

Programme\Apache Group\Apache2\bin\apache.exe

Syntax error on line 960 of Programme\Apache Group\Apache2\conf\httpd.conf:
Programme\Apache Group\Apache2\conf\httpd.conf:960: <Virtual Host> was not closed.

Means the end of the Virtualhost block is not closed with a </VirtualHost> .
