Ok, I'm sure I'm going to sound completely uneducated, but oh well. What is cpan, and how do I use it to add modules to apache? Is it for unix and osx based systems only or is it usable by windows, and am I lacking any software to do so? Another month or so and I'm sure I'll have caught back up with everything, anyways thanks for the help!

CPAN means: Comprehensive Perl Archive Network, see http://cpan.org/ .

CPAN has a collection of perl modules which you can install with perl PPM.

So only when you run Perl scripts you maybe need one of the modules, not really Apache stuff.
