Hi there - am running Apache2 as server on an XP home network with firewalls off. I'm not connecting to an ISP I simply want machine1 to act as a server for machine2 connected via crossover cable. The localhost on machine comes up fine but not thru the browser of machine2. I'm using IE6 on both. Is it something to do with IP addresses? This may sound basic but I'm puzzled and any help very much appreciated. |

You can open the command line (cmd.exe) and type ipconfig which showes your network IP. Over that IP you can reach the apache, if not firewalled. |
