Hello
I'm trying to modify httpd.conf file and I cannot save it after that. It says "cannot create the path [..]" Please give me an advice.
I receive the same error when I try to modify host and http.vhosts.conf files.

Restore files from a CD/DVD lately? My observation is files/folders tend to get written to the hard drive as Read-Only when copying from a CD/DVD.

Anti-Virus have your Windows hosts file locked?

Editing from another computer over network and the share does not have write/change permissions for your username?

Have Apache "Jailed" and you did not give yourself write/change permissions?

The host file (cause of AV lock) and boot.ini (had to use notepad) are about the only files I have experienced my editor could not update.
