Hi, I'm an Apache newbie trying to get Apache to run on a Win2k machine. I've downloaded xampp and when I try to run Apache, I get a command window that says, "Apache 2 is starting" but then it just hangs. All my ports seem to be clear. Anyone have any idears? Thx...

What apache version do you try to run ?

"just hangs", what does that mean ?

Any error in the Apache error.log and/or windows event log ?

Apache/2.2.0 (Win32). Apache log shows "Starting thread to listen on port 443." and "Starting thread to listen on port 80." and then nothing. Sad
