I am a new user to Apache and know almost nothing about it, other than that it functions as kind of web hosting software. I want to use Apache to learn PHP and mySQL, however I have run into an early road block. During the installation and upon starting Apache I get this error message:

"(OS 10048)Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted.
:make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80
Unable to open logs"

Also, when I click Monitor Apache Servers, I get an error message that states: "Apache monitor is already started"

I am working on a Window 7 laptop and I am using Apache v2.2.16. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try close Skype

or other software that use port 80

This error means that some application use port 80 and cannot bind for this port
