I find the key point to cause the httpd.exe signature message is that the mod_security2.so file.

I make a test between mod_security2.5.12 and mod_security2.5.13.Under the same apache environment:
first:I put the mod_security2.5.13's mod_security2.so file,the httpd.exe signature error message shows and apache can't start.second:I put the mod_security2.5.12's mod_security2.so file,the httpd.exe can start successfully.

The conclusion is the new version of mod_security2.5.13's mod_security2.so file,it causes the httpd.exe signature error message shows and make apache failed.

I try various version of apache for win32 repeatly, the signature error message shows still under the version of mod_security 2.5.13's mod_security2.so file.

I do not know. I do not know what that "signature" error is. I cannot reproduce the problem so I cannot be of any more help.

If 2.5.12 works, stick with it. It has been doing well for a long time now. Try again come 2.5.14.

I should add, between 2.5.12 & 2.5.13 Breach was bought by another company. There are different people working it and quite possible they broke something. It is not showing up for me though and I have been running 2.5.13 on both Apache 2.2.17 and now Apache 2.3.10 as well with no problems for over a week.

So the solution is to downgrade to mod_security 2.5.12?

I am trying hard to resolve this for a few days now. Can someone link me to the mod_security.so v2.5.12 please?
