HI,
Looks like a very interesting forum. Always good to find one with current information and lots of current questions and answers.
I installed Apache httpd-2.2.17-win32. . . . . on an XP machine. I followed a very good tutorial and had no problems with getting it to work. I am able to connect to the folder with files and download what I want from anywhere. But, I thought this server also allowed you to upload to it. That was not in the tutorial. Does this server allow an upload or is there something else that must be installed to make that possible? Thanks.

Apache itself has no function to upload files. You can use a script or ftp server or ssh (sftp) server.
Well there is a third party module for apache. Called mod_upload. You can find it on the apachehaus.com download page. Notice that module will only load into binaries form apachelounge or apachehaus. It won't load into apache.org's apache. |

OK. That answers why Apache will not upload. Interesting items you have listed. I will do some research on them when I find more spare time. Thanks for the answers.
