There is a patch for the SSL issue for Apache 2.4, see the SSL issue at http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?p=21186
So when you are having in your log entries like Asynchronous AcceptEx failed.
You can try this patched VC10 build: Removed, 2.4.3 is now available.
Add to your httpd.conf:
AcceptFilter https none
EnableSendfile Off
EnableMMAP off
