Hello, I didn't find this here so I am asking it
I install 2.0.52 2.0.55 2.2 and when I put "localhost" or any other local url in the browser the server did't respond anything just stays in "waiting for reply" and any shows up 
So I download the Apache 2.2 x64 I found here and it works... So I make the dump question, Apache x86 doesn't works on Win64 ?  |

2.2 from ASF should run too... although the installer is broken.
Disabling UAC and opening a command promt in the bin folder and running
httpd -k install && httpd -k start should do it |

sorry... ASF Apache SourceForce ? I don't know what it is 
As I said, it works... but The server as service or console NEVER reply any info just stays in "wating for respose", it was for 2.0.x and 2.2.lastest in apache.org |

ASF = Apache Software Foundation (sry been hanging on the mailing list for too long)
I can say that I've successfully run 2.2 as a service on vista RC2, since I don't have a RTM license (can't afford Vista Business) I can't give you a step by step...
But I do know I turned off UAC (user access controle) and that it worked fine. Some for other people once they turn of UAC.

.... But I am over Win XP x64 no on Vista. |
