Hi, does anyone know a way of protecting your files so that no one internally (someone who does the scripting or can view/edit files) can get access to any secret documents (i.e. your mysql passwords etc). I would be greatful if anyone could help me. thanks!

You could use .htaccess and use alias and put it outside the doc root.
Also it does help to limit the access or scripting or for users like in php with open_basedir
