You could unwisely enable Register Globals to On which would eliminate the need to use $_GET and $_POST. Also you may wish to be aware if you POST data from a form it would be:
$variable = $_POST['varname']; |

Enabling register_globals to on open a lot of security holes. Also when register_globals is on, you habe to code cleaner  |
