Programms that may causes apache not running


  • Filesharing programs with webclient (kazza & co)
  • Antivir (mcAffe 7.0)
  • Skype (messenger) Port 80 and 443 (can be solved)
  • XpAntiSpy
  • many firewall and routing software
  • WinXP without SP1
  • WinXP integrated Network Firewall
  • MS IIS
  • WebcamXP (webclient run by default on port 80)
  • Kapersky Antivirus Programm (Guardian blocks Port 443 (for SSL))
  • ArGoSoft Mail Server
  • ESET NOD32 Antivirus 2.5
  • Filseclab Personal Firewall
  • "Active Virus Shield" from AOL

McAfee can be bypassed by adding httpd.exe to the list of processes to allow full network access.

* Most e-mail servers that come with a webmail interface

apache runs fine here with the latest eset, if you have any issues, disable IMON, other then that, never an issue here...
