Hello all,

When I am installing some scripts on my localhost, they sometimes need certain files to be CHMOD. Is there a way to set the permissions on said files while running an Apache Server under Windows XP?

If you right-click on a file in Windows Explorer and choose Properties - Security, this is roughly equivalent to the chmod command on Unix.

There is also a (lesser known) Windows command-line utility to change permissions: cacls.
