Hi,

I posted a while back about a problem with mod_fcgid causing Apache to allocate a large amount of memory when uploading large files and not freeing it back up after the upload had finished.

http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?t=1690&highlight=modfcgid

In response Steffen was fantastic enough to contact the mod_fcgid developer and produce a new copy supporting MaxRequestInMem and MaxRequestLen. I didn't get chance to test these for ages but have now and found the same problem still occurs.

Steffen, is there any chance of you putting together a version of mod_fastcgi for Apache 2.2.9 (http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.web.fastcgi.devel/2531) so we can test if it suffers the same problems? Or are you still in contact with mod_fcgid and can request an improved solution?

Thanks and sorry for not coming back with a test report sooner,
Dave
