apache2handler for Apache 2.2.x and PHP 5.1.0-5.1.6

Do not use that. Use the original php5apache2_2.dll from PHP 5.2.6 from php.net

You may follow the PHP part from Aapache lounge tutorial
http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?t=2394

all right i can follow till this line:
THIS MUST BE ACCOMPLISHED (see note below): Add the folder that you put the PHP files into in the PATH ENVIRONMENT (System Properties | Advanced | Environment Variables | System variables | Path).

Example:
Variable name: Path
Variable value: C:\php5;%SystemRoot%\system32;.....
i don't know what to write after \system32
also i did a search on my pc for phpapache2_2.dll and it didn't find the file??
sorry to be so stupid but i guess i need to be spoon fed. so please be detailed in your posts. i hope i'm not annoying you and glsmith. i just want to get this app up and running and so i understand it.

so i ran httpd and the message coming back says "Invalid command PHPINinDir" perhaps misspelled or not defined by a module included in the server congfiguration.
so what does that mean.
sorry for all the posts. i do want to finish this once and for all.

It means as it says, either the path you supplied is incorrect, or the module is not loaded therefore Apache does not recognize the PHPIniDir directive.
