Good Day,
I have Apache (latest version for windows) installed and ports forwarded in my Linksys router (80, 8080) to my IP addy of my server. I can type in my web address and it get the "it works" message but if I test outside of my LAN I get the page cannot be displayed message.
I am usning Verizon Fios and they block port 80 and that's why I have opened port 8080 and pointed both to my machine ip.
I also have a "real" web address that I have changed over to use the DNS sevices of FreeDNS.
Need some help if possible.
I'm a little green and haven't done this in about 5 years.
I think it's either DNS or port problem.
Windows vista ultimate lastest version of Apache

Curious, did you make an exemption for port 8080 in windows firewall?

Hello,
Yes. I did for both port 8080 and 80. I'm going to completely turn off my router firewall to see if this is the problem.

Well, that didn't work either.
I think its' a DNS problem.
Since I have changed my port from 80 to 8080 what do I need to change in the httpd.conf other than 80 to 8080
Do I need to change any other files?
