Hi,

I have installed the version of Apache/2.0.59 (Win32) mod_ssl/2.0.59 OpenSSL/0.9.7j mod_jk/1.2.26 Server at 127.0.0.1 Port 80
in Windows Xp machine.

I have changed the http.conf file as per my local settings for th site, but in the site all pages containing http are displaying if i open any https page its showing page can't be displayed.

Is there any step by step for SSL configuration. If so please give me.
Expecting the result as soon as possible.

Windows Firewall and any other software firewall blocking port 443 is something to look into.

Anything in the error log?

Tue Sep 30 12:04:19 2008] [warn] Init: Session Cache is not configured [hint: SSLSessionCache]

SSLSessionCache dbm:/path/to/apache/logs/ssl_gcache_data

see http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.2/mod/mod_ssl.html#sslsessioncache

I find "dbm" works best for me. This is just a warning however and should not stop the server, it doesn't stop 2.2 from working anyway.

Are your trying to connect from the server machine or another remote/local machine?

I'm still thinking firewall .. but doesn't the browser say anything further than "Page cannot be displayed" ... like "because of blah blah blah?"

it would be helpful if you post your httpd.conf on http://apache.pastebin.ca/

is there anything in your error.log about that?

You need to change the listen and the server name

Listen 80

to

Listen 443

cause port 443 is the standart SSL port.

Or did you configured that in Include conf/ssl.conf which one you didn't posted?

Also when don't use port 80 you should change the server name as well

from

ServerName localhost:80

to

ServerName localhost:443

"but the sign in functionality is not working"?

You mean when it pops up a username/password dialog?

Am I correct and those are self-signed certs for localhost.
Are they new certs for localhost?
Have you previously "Accept forever" different certs for localhost?

Yes,
All are self signed certs..

Sign in functionality is working with the previous version (i.e.) apache1.3.12 .after sign in that I just stop that previous one then I have started apache 2.0.59 that time its working. From a new fresh staring the sign in functionality is not working.

Please help me in this.
