Faulting application httpd.exe, version 2.2.17.0, faulting module msvcr90.dll, version 9.0.30729.4148, fault address 0x0005bbac.

This is what I'm getting on a fresh Windows XP Pro installation and just Apache 2.2.17 attempting to load mod_log_rotate. Comment out that module and Apache loads fine.

Anyone else seen this error?

You use AL apache? I often had to install Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable Package (x86) and Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 SP1 Redistributable Package (x86). I don't know. That makes no sense. But it works that way. I wonder why th SP1 version seem not be backward compatible... in some kinda way.
