php 5.4.0 is out for a while.

Is there any chance to get eAccelerator running on php 5.4.x (TS/NTS)? Neutral

With 221 compile errors and the project page dead I guess you have to find another optimizer...

Wincache, using it too.

There is a download at http://x32.elijst.nl/wincache-1.3.0RC1-5.4-nts-vc9-x86.zip

This one is compiled from http://pecl.php.net/package/WinCache/1.3.0

Thanks for that Steffen! I am trying it for a couple of days. Hopefully this 1.3 branch is more stable (all other branches end up randomly in eating up memory for no reason or endlesss respawning of the server so it crashed...eaccelerator never had those problems and worked for months Smile) lets see

Sorry to say, but even the 1.3.x branch is unstable for me. i have the same issues as before. randomly getting http 500 errors and apache log says "premature end of scripts headers". the php-cgi process is respawning endless and does not really process any request anymore. Sometimes it works for some hours.
I really cannot find out if some code is going to trigger this, because eaccelerator works fine. unfortunately under php 5.4.x i now don't have any opcode cache Sad i tried xcache, but xcache is not sharing the cache between cgi-processes, so its useless to me.

Sad to hear that... As for as I know, the only to opcode cache sulotions working in fcgi and windows are ZendOptimizer and wincache. Wincache fails to be stable (still) and Zendoptimizer isn't downloadable as free extension... So we have to wait for a new guy in town Very Happy

The bad thing is: there is nothing logged what went wrong. Not in windows events nor any php /apache log. if we only could get some error message like where it got problems we could easily post that to the developers. Unfortunately they do not support us apache guys, just their IIS- community. But as i have read the http 500 occurs there also sometimes. I guess it has something to to with requests at the same time and memory access...

eaccelerator.net has got a relaunch, moved to git and seems to be maintained again.

According to
https://github.com/eaccelerator/eaccelerator

it should compile and work under PHP 5.4 now !

Millenium, are you able to do a usual nts compilation? Smile
