Good news, fixed is the SSL issue (see the SSL issue at http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?p=21186 )

So now, when you are having in your log entries like Asynchronous AcceptEx failed.

You can add to your httpd.conf:

AcceptFilter https none
EnableSendfile Off
EnableMMAP off

Now time to upgrade to 2.4, if you done not already. Planning not to make available anymore 2.2.

Changelog http://www.apachelounge.com/Changelog-2.4.html

Documentation: http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/ attention there to Upgrading to 2.4 from 2.2

Btw.
The binaries are tested with Windows 8 and Windows Server 2012.
