| Hi Experts I am new in apache, we have couple of servers in PRODUCTION where we need to upgrade the openssl modules, we have apache 2.2 installed and openssl version is 1.0.0, need your expert help to achieve this.
 
 apache and openssl are in solaris9 SPARC
 
 not sure how to start, your inputs will be highly appreciated.

| Why don't you update to apache 2.4.4? It has openssl 1.0.1E and a lot of bug fixes and performance improvements.

| I would compile OpenSSL in newest version, if not available over the packet manager. In doubt you also have to compile apache yourself against the new OpenSSL version. If there is no packet available, you can also kick the *censored* of the package maintainer
