Dear Reviewer / Manager,

I am facing problem in installing Apache 2.4.10 Win32. I verified now and found that:

- operating system - Windows 7 (32 Bit OS)
- indications in the log files (error.log, access.log) - Command Prompt given
- version of eg. php, mysql etc. - given below in command log:

httpd.exe is located in:
C:\Apache\Apache24\bin

httpd.conf is located in:
C:\Apache\Apache24\conf

I try to install with two ways as given in command prompt:

C:\Users\Dellcd..

C:\cd Apache

C:\Apachecd Apache24

C:\Apache\Apache24cd bin

Error: The program can't start because MSVCR110.dll is missing from your
computer. Try reinsgtalling the program to fix this problem.

C:\Apache\Apache24\bincd..

C:\Apache\Apache24cd conf

C:\Apache\Apache24\confhttpd -k install
'httpd' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.

C:\Apache\Apache24\conf


But I failed. Please help me in installing Apache HTTP Server. I am so
depressed. I am suffering from 1st Stage Parkinson from 2010.

Why you drop all the PHP an MySQL info ? We removed that from your post. Also removed the color you used.

Please follow the instructions in the readme in the zip you downloaded from apachelounge.

Why did you installed it in c:/Apache/Apache24 ?
And not just c:/Apache24 as stated in the Readme ?

I will follow your instructions.

I unpacked Apache in c:\Apache\Apache24.

Since I use the path in command prompt, will it really matter if I unpack it in C:\Apache

Please explain me the steps.

Again see the readme: c:/apache24 is the server root.

I did as instructed and I run the following in command window and got the following output:

C:\>cd Apache24


C:\Apache24>cd bin

C:\Apache24\bin>httpd.exe -k install

I was reading the Read Me File which shows:

Install
-------


- Unzip the Apache24 folder to c:/Apache24 (that is the ServerRoot in the config).
Default folder for your your webpages is DocumentRoot "c:/Apache24/htdocs"

When you unzip to an other location, change ServerRoot in the httpd.conf,
and change in httpd.conf the Documenroot, Directories, ScriptAlias,
also when you use the extra folder config file(s) change to your location there.

Start apache in a DOS box:

>httpd.exe

Install as a service:

>httpd.exe -k install

I could not understand this part:

make_sock: could not bind to address 0.0.0.0:80
means that another program is listening on port 80.

Run 'netstat -anb' in a DOS-prompt as Administrator to know which one.

Tell skype not to use port 80/443 ... there's an option to uncheck in skype somewhere.
