Is this intentionally missing the unicode.mapping file, which is referenced in the modsecurity.conf-recommended file?

Never shipped that file. Is not in the source.

Actually, it is in the source, same place as modsecurity.conf-recomended.

So do their release packages too

Seems like this was missed when repackaging.

Yes, both here and apachehaus have never included that file. That's 10 years of apachehaus and what, 15 for here? Your the first one who's noticed this.
