The ASF has mod_fcgid 2.3.5 released for general availability.
You can download it from our download page http://www.apachelounge.com/download/
The ASF has adopted the module from Ryan and the development is now under the ASF flag. From now on the 2.2 version at our download page is obsolete/outdated, at a certain moment I shall remove 2.2 from the download page.
With the new 2.3 there are some new features and new directives. So if you already use fcgid and upgrade your existing fcgid you should also upgrade the directives.
