I heard already about dual stack. But ::1 does not work on my computer with Windows 7 and the Internet Explorer. Then I get an error message. In Dutch: "Het adres is ongeldig". That is: "The address is not valid".
But I understand: It is difficult to know all the quirks of the new and old IP-systems.
In every case you did your best to help me. Thank you very much!! |

Yes, it worked with the brackets!
This was my first practical introduction to IPv6! Thank you! |

I thought: Everything is OK now, with my Apache installation. But in an other thread of this forum I was adviced to read an other thread yet:
http://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?t=2394
There I read:
Before installing ANYTHING else, ensure Apache will start. Open a command prompt and navigate to the BIN folder of Apache:
1. At the prompt enter httpd
2. If there's anything seriuosly wrong Apache will not start - the cursor will drop down one line and blink (you should be able to use your browser and navigate to http://localhost and see "It Work!".
So I tried it. But I got an error message. Apache has started already. So I stopped Apache with the triangle in the taskbar (which became a dot), and I tried it again.
Then the cursor dropped down one line and blinked. The tiangle did not return. Does that mean that I have installed Apache in a wrong way?
When Apache is not installed correctly, maybe I shall get problems later. |

All looks fine.
Using ApacheMonitor (triangle) is when running as a service.
In command prompt Apache runs as application.
