Hi there Smile
I didn't see a helo thread, so perhaps I'll start one lol

I am really new to (trying to) run a server, but not new to programming, it's been a hobby of mine for quite a while Smile

and I was happy to find this forum!
most info I can find for Apache is not for windows, so this is a treat.

cheers,
snuggles

There is quite a lot of info for apache o nwindows...

You need to know where to look!

This site is a great source for httpd 2.2 on windows

devside.net is great for general apache questions and cross platform stuff...

And ofcource the apache user group...
watching the dev list helps too... but isn't easyt to follow sometimes

Oooh....scary stuff!

But may be interesting later. Oh well, I'm too busy with school, volunteering, and other stuff to get into that at this point. Maybe would be good to read through some of the info, though...it seems you can get something out of it, regardless.

I'm new here, too. I have some “hobby” sites running on Apache servers. I know basics about coding and very little about servers. I’m not a complete idiot but I certainly need to further educate myself. I want to learn more about servers, how they work, so I’m able to tell when the coder I’ve hired is trying to help me or take an advantage of me.
