I'm making a website through wordpress. I used to be able to edit my site by going to:

localhost/lazziboi/wp-admin
and i could view it by going to:

localhost/lazziboi

Now whenever i type in the latter it works fine but when i type in the former it says:

" Object not found!

That is a setting in the httpd.conf for enabling .htaccess files (which is needed by wordpress). See AllowOverride

if you still have a question please ask again.

Sorry to sound like an amateur but I'm new to this stuff so I need all the help i can get.

When i type in the localhost/lazziboi/wp-admin so that i can start editing the site it pops up with that error message earlier in this thread.

But when i type in localhost/lazziboi so i can see the site itself it lets me see it.

So im lost as to why one of them work and not the other?

Well the URL might be

http://localhost/lazziboi/wp-admin/wp-login.php not http://localhost/lazziboi/wp-admin
