Good Day!!
I am trying to understand if its possible to do a P2V migration of a Apache http server 2.2
Present environment:
Windows 2003
Apache http server 2.0.63
There are 2 webservers (running Apache) for load balancing. The backend server runs an application which uses an oracle database. Is a P2V migration of the web servers possible?

| Apache runs fine in a virtual machine. In fact Apache Lounge runs under Hyper-V. |

Thanks for your reply. I am exploring the possibilities of doing a P2V conversion of our existing physical apache servers. As you would know, the P2V conversion clones the physical machine to a virtual machine, which means that there are no additional installation steps to be done once the VM is ready. Do you foresee any issues with this approach?. The general method would be to carve a virtual machine and install the Apache server, whereas in a P2V conversion, the server should be up and running after the VM is cloned from the physical machine.
