OK, what is that where in order to validate something on a website, you have to copy in text what is displayed as a distorted script?

What's that called? How do you implement it?

I would like to implement that on my server where I offer presentation downloads to people. That is, in order to download a file, I want the requester to have to validate in some way. No, I don't want to ask for a password. I just want to make sure that the requester isn't a bot.

Thanks for any info ...
