Hello,

I'm trying to install the latest available version of Apache (Apache 2.4.25 win64 VC14), but when I install the service with the following command

httpd.exe -k install -n "Apache_2.4.25_win64_VC14" -f "C:\Apache_2.4.25_win64_VC14\conf\openssl.cnf"

I get the following error:

AH00526: Syntax error on line 8 of C:/Apache_2.4.25_win64_VC14/conf/openssl.cnf:

Invalid command 'HOME', perhaps misspelled or defined by a module not included in the server configuration

Any ideas? Many thanks! |

openssl.cnf is not a Apache configuration file, it's only for openssl itself and you need do nothing with it.

You want to just add to httpd.conf

Include conf/extra/httpd-ssl.conf

BUT:

You need to edit httpd-ssl.conf

You need ssl certificates and need to tell Apache where they are. |

| Many thanks! Now that you point that out, it makes perfect sense. |
