Hello -

I have set up an apache 2.0 installation on an Ubuntu OS machine, and I am trying to host a site off of it. However, whenever I try to view the page from another computer, the server does not respond.

I have successfully done the following things:
- Viewed the web page with the URL on the host system
- Logged into the host system remotely using the URL (SSH)
- Pinged the server from a remote system using the URL

It seems to me like the problem is with a server configuration option and not any of the DNS / networking configurations. Any advice?

Thanks!

Wow, problem solved. I was using a link with a NetBIOS name that was on the intranet...other computers didn't know what THAT was, not the server itself.

Oops!
