Hi,

as you can all clearly see, i'm new to this forum, so bear with me if i'm repeating a question that has already been queried.

Ok, i'll try not to ramble as i have a large tendency to do so... after configuring PHP-5.2.3-win32 with apache 2, so that they both recognise each other. I restarted apache and got this error message in a black screen window...

(OS 10048)Only one usage of each socket address (protocol/network address/port) is normally permitted. : make_sock : could not bind address 0.0.0.0:80 no listening sockets available, shutting down
Unable to open logs...

if anyone knows what this message means and could tell me how to rectify the problem, i would be hugely grateful.

thanks
Paul

This means another server (maybe another instance of Apache) is running and using port 80.
