Hello Steffen. Your "Apache 2.2 win32 module binaries" run with this version ? Because the text says: "... and will load in 2.2.0 - 2.2.4"

Thanks for the heads-up, changed the text.

Sure the modules ar running fine with 2.2.5, no API change, so no need to build again.

Running now 2.2.5 at Apache Lounge and no issues at all.

This page looks good to me: it's clearly labelled as RC. In retrospect, an extra line advising readers that the product was meant for testing and please check back later would have made sense.

FWIW, noone has identified a problem with 2.2.5 that would affect users of Windows versions, nor the vast majority on any OS. I'm using it, and I've no intention of changing.

A bit dissappointed that mod_filter is not yet included in the Windows build (Bug 41691), and that out-of-tree DBD drivers are not yet supported.

mod_filter seems to work OK if you build it separately, but I haven't tested it very much yet.

It's good to see that Bug 41321 is fixed so the Windows 2000 folks don't need Win32DisableAcceptEx any more.

Other than that, no problems. I can't find any regressions from 2.2.4.

I was happy to read this, however when i tested this built it wasnt long before i saw:

Code:
[Thu Aug 23 13:33:05 2007] [warn] (OS 121)The semaphore timeout period has expired.  : winnt_accept: Asynchronous AcceptEx failed.

Whats wrong?

Bug 41321 caused the remote IP address to be 0.0.0.0 on Windows 2000 only.
It didn't affect WinXP or Win2003. The workaround was to set Win32DisableAcceptEx .

There are other reasons you might need Win32DisableAcceptEx, not just bug 41321.
Some 3rd-party firewalls, anti-virus software, or network drivers can prevent the Windows AcceptEx function from working correctly.

Perhaps your problem was one of these - and not zero IP addresses on Windows 2000.
