I am hosting a website on my home PC and I want to embed the feed from my Webcam into an html page on my HDD. It sounds so easy, doen't it?. I am using XP32 and Apache 2.2.6.

I have DCam server, but there doesn't seem to be any help pages available. I follow the online documentation link in the Help menu and it takes me to what seems to be a page of commercial links.

Q: Do I need to change Apache default configuration to have a live webcam feed on my site?

I need to understand the principles involved.

Any help out there?

The question is, how do you access the webcam without apache? I think that reverse proxy can be a solution.
