Thanks for the tip, will try that too but they removed the download files, have to grab them from somewhere else... |

Can you check instruction support between VS17 and 18 build system?
I found different in my "identical" hardware. More powerfull use i9-9900 CPU, and more slowly config use G5400 Pentium processor.
Pentium does not support AVX2 instruction set, and do not crash with VS18 builds.
Other component is the same. |

This is build the same as the VS17 one, now VS18 with no updated dependencies. So with curl 8.17.0 openssl 3.6.0 Jansson 2.14.1 , and build 4.2.bat |
Thanks.
Give me 2-3 days to confirm my or you theory |

So VS18 is the cause.
We do not know how many users are dealing with it. I put a note on the download page and ask users to report |

So I'm afraid your statement is not quite true. |

What is left that PHP is the cause. No crashes seen with other products.
Is it only PHP 8.5.x ?
You may try :
VS17 with the new curl, jansson and Openssl 3.6.1

You can use NTS (non thread safe) because if it crashes it shouldn't bring apache down. The TS = Thread safe version has a few check to make sure it doesn't crash. Those checks take some time.So it is a little slower. But in real world it didn't matter to me with thousands of requests. The TS version runs fine. |

For all those people with this problem. Download a clean version from Apache Lounge. Download a fresh version from windows.php.net. Follow the setup of https://www.apachelounge.com/viewtopic.php?t=2394
Then change the port of apache like 8080 and 8443 to run a parallel instance for testing. Or simply use a different machine for your tests. |

Nope, not true in this specific case, apache crash/restart no matter if php is ts or not, as module or fcgi. |

PHP is no longer distributing new versions from this site. https://www.php.net/downloads.php for all OS. |
